2014 midterm exam practice quiz
for help
Create a new folder on your desktop. Title it your first & last name_2014 midterm exam. (5 points)
Create a new Photoshop document:
open photoshop
go to window>workspace>essentials
go to file>new>name: type your name_2014 midterm exam (5 points)
width: 7 inches (not pixels) (2 points)
height: 7 inches (2 points)
resolution: 100 (2 points)
color mode: rgb
background contents: white
click OK
Be sure you check Auto-Select Layer
All the following are worth four points each:
Create a new layer and place a Custom Shape on it.
Add a Drop Shadow to the Shape
Create another new layer and place a different Custom Shape, in a different color, on it.
Add Bevel and Emboss to the Shape
Click on the Horizontal Type Tool and select Times 18 point type.
The type color should be red.
Type your first and last name on a this type layer.
Click on the Horizontal Type Tool and select Times Italic 36 point type.
The type color should be blue.
Type Midterm Exam_2014
Color the background layer using the Paint Bucket Tool.
Save your work into your folder.
go to window>workspace>essentials
go to file>new>name: type your name_2014 midterm exam (5 points)
width: 7 inches (not pixels) (2 points)
height: 7 inches (2 points)
resolution: 100 (2 points)
color mode: rgb
background contents: white
click OK
